The history of afternoon tea goes back to 1840. It is said that it was Anna Russell, the seventh Duchess of Bedford and Queen Victoria's lady-in-waiting, to whom the British owe this tradition. To bridge the long wait until dinner, the Duchess had a tray of tea, bread, butter and some cake served to her in the afternoon: The afternoon tea was born. 

We serve our Afternoon Tea daily from 14:00 to 17:00. A must: finger sandwiches, scones with butter cream and sweets. Only one important question remains: Do you pour the milk or the tea into the cup first?
